presenting the art and craft of pastry and baking, Ms. Karam-Putt
has been a guest instructor, and exhibitor for special events,
including the prestigious invitational Women Chef's and Restaurateurs,
Citi Corp Dessert Tasting, NY, 1997; and as the Bridal Show
Pastry Chef for both Neiman Marcus (Short Hills, NJ, 2001)
and Tiffany & Co. (Short Hills & Riverside, NJ, 1999,
2000, 2001), Bridal Show Events, and Priscilla of Boston (1999,
2000, 2001).
Experience
and training
Ms. Karam-Putt is an experienced and practiced Pastry Chef--a
graduate of Johnson & Wales University, International
Baking & Pastry Institute, with an A.O.S. degree in Pastry
Arts. Prior to opening Sweet Sisters, her professional career
spans over seven years at the: Indian Harbour Yacht Club,
Greenwich, CT; Trump Plaza, Atlantic City, NJ; Extra! Extra!
Restaurant, NYC; Marriott Marquis, NYC; Hilton at Short Hills,
NJ and Symphony Café. In 1989 Ms. Karam-Putt launched,
SWEET SISTERS, specializing in custom pastry and cake creations.
